ABOUT THE PROGRAM
A funded pilot program for climate-smart agriculture
Climate change is increasing risk to agricultural productivity, supply chains, and food security across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). At the same time, many agribusinesses still face barriers to adopting Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) solutions, including limited access to proven technologies, knowledge gaps, and the risks involved in piloting new approaches.
AGRInnova II supports pilot-ready partnerships between LAC agribusinesses and Israeli CSA technology providers. The program is built for partnerships that have identified a specific challenge and a proposed solution, and are ready to move into a structured, funded pilot.

FAQ
Do I need a partner before applying?
Yes, for the main call. AGRInnova II is built around existing partnerships that apply jointly. Technology providers are expected to apply jointly with an agribusiness partner. If you don't yet have one, you should establish a partnership before applying. Agribusinesses without a partner can still express their interest here.
Are you an agribusiness in LAC without an identified technology partner?
You may still register your interest via Track 2. Please note: this does not guarantee matchmaking, pilot development, or inclusion in the current pilot cycle.
Is this a matchmaking program?
No. AGRInnova II is not a matchmaking program. Applications are expected to be submitted by existing partnerships that are ready to pilot together. Agribusinesses without a partner can still express their interest here, while technology providers should secure a relevant agribusiness partner before applying.
Can one organization submit more than one application?
Each partnership may submit one application only.
Each LAC agribusiness may participate in up to three applications in total, and each Israeli technology provider may also participate in up to three applications in total.
Who selects the final pilots?
Final evaluation, prioritization, and selection decisions are made by IDB Invest. IDB Invest may prioritize applications from current clients and prospects, consistent with program objectives and internal procedures.
What should the application include?
A defined challenge, a proposed solution, a high-level pilot concept, budget logic, timeline, and supporting documents.
What is Track 1? What is Track 2?
AGRInnova II has two application tracks:
Track 1 is the main track - a joint application submitted by a LAC agribusiness and an Israeli CSA technology provider who are ready to pilot together.
Track 2 is an expression of interest for LAC agribusinesses that have not yet identified a technology partner. Track 2 submissions do not guarantee selection, matchmaking, or pilot financing under the current cycle.
